I had an inspiring week! I usually share photos here, mostly fashion inspiration, but this week I found motivation from other places.
It started on my morning commute. Now, I don't know what your morning routine looks like but it takes me about 40 minutes to get to work and it involves a bus ride, a tube ride and a 7 minutes walk! This is living in London for you.. And as I find it too busy and way too stressful to read a book on my morning commute, I listen to podcasts.
This week I searched for new episodes on 'Ted Radio Hour', I used to listen to them a while ago but felt like I listened to all the good ones so carried on to listening to other stuff.
Somehow now I found interest in them again.
So my first recommendation from this past week is an episode called 'The Power of Design', I found it very interesting and quite broad as it looks at the power of design from different aspects. One of the speakers on this podcast is the wonderful Alice Rawsthorn, I find her interesting and empowering. I wrote about her Instagram account on my other blog a little while ago.
My other inspiration from this past week was an article I read on El Pais - 'In Bed with Roberto Polo'. It is a bit random but it was a good read and it reminded me of how little I know of the art world, mostly from the perspective of art collecting and art galleries.
Last but not least of this week's recommendations is this interview in The Guardian with French film director Agnes Varda. She has a new film that just came out so she talks about that but also on so many other things.. And man she is one hell of a character. Highly recommended!
